Situated on East Hastings, this historical 5-storey building stands as a 71-unit site designed to cater to the diverse needs of its residents. The site offers shared bathrooms. Enhancing the sense of community and fostering social interactions, the foyer has been thoughtfully transformed into a spacious common area. This inviting space serves as a hub for residents to socialize, partake in the meal program, and cultivate a strong sense of belonging. A shared laundry room is readily accessible to all residents. Moreover, round-the-clock support is available, ensuring that assistance is readily provided whenever needed.

Meet the site manager

Banafshe Namazi is a passionate advocate with a focus on supporting homeless and foster care youth, addressing barriers such as addiction, mental health, trauma, and homelessness. Her commitment to Indigenous culture shines through her work with Indigenous elders, contributing to the revitalization of the Okanagan Native language and volunteering in the establishment of the first all-Aboriginal spoken elementary school. As a mentor and volunteer at the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society and Vancouver Eastside Friendship Center, she empowers Aboriginal kids and youth through government-funded programs. She has a BA in Indigenous Studies, an associated degree in English Literature, and an Advanced Project Management diploma.
