Luugat is a 110-unit SRO in Downtown Vancouver. Formerly a Howard Johnson hotel, Luugat primarily caters to low-income individuals and operates with round-the-clock staff, ensuring that residents receive comprehensive support and care at all times. Gastown proudly provides residents access to the Whole Life housing program, which encompasses an array of vital support services to promote the well-being of its residents. With this program, residents benefit from a range of essential amenities and services aimed at fostering a dignified and comfortable living environment. These services include daily meals, efficient housekeeping, effective pest control measures, and timely maintenance services.
Meet the site manager
Irmina holds a master's degree from the University of Physical Education and came to Vancouver inspired by her love for travel and outdoor activities. She began working with CBG in 2020 during the pandemic, joining isolation sites as a casual staff member. She chose this line of work out of deep compassion and a belief in human-centered care. Driven by a passion for psychology, she is committed to supporting individuals through their healing journey with dignity and kindness. She finds purpose in restoring hope and walking alongside people as they rebuild their lives.
