This month, we proudly launched the RESTART Day Labour Program, an extension of our Peer Employment Program. Designed as a next step in our low-barrier employment model, RESTART provides ongoing, weekly day labour opportunities for residents looking to earn a living wage, gain work experience, and build their resumes.

Participants are paired with our Logistics, Maintenance, or Kitchen teams, working alongside staff to learn new skills and contribute to daily operations. In addition, an Employment Support Specialist provides one-on-one guidance, helping participants identify goals and navigate barriers to long-term employment.

We’re thrilled to welcome the program’s first seven participants and look forward to expanding in the coming months. Special thanks to the Definity Foundation and TD Foundation for making this initiative possible. RESTART is one more way we’re supporting residents in gaining independence, stability, and purpose.
